New Knits on the Block
so here it is! whoot for my first sweater! now maybe i actually will study since i cant work on the sweater anymore! i'm trying to stretch the body a little longer in hopes of not seeing any parts of my belly when the sweater is combined with low-rise pants. i guess the sleeves will look lumpy no matter what since i used i think 4 different types of yarns, but who needs rules like that anyway! in a few days, i'll be ready to post more on my other project, scott's hat, and maybe even start another new hat. the plans for that one are to use rowan calmer to make a super soft comfy hat with the fabulous structure of dopamine stitched into it so i can be *that* much cooler when i go to the society for neuroscience seminar in november. ha, the simple joys of too many science classes.

wow, the sweater looks fabulous! i'm sure you will be the envy of a lot of girls when you wear it to school, and the upcoming hats, too!! first sweater as intarsia, what fearless knitter, i love it!

Woohooooo SQ! Nice job on the sweater!! I love it!
PS, there is some knitting trickery that can be done if it is still too short post-blocking... basically remove the ribbing and redo it, knitting down, until it is the right length :-)

you know, layering is okay .... would you really be wearing a wooly sweater next to your skin? looks great in the picture, but if you're looking into extra "coverage" w/o altering the sweater, then just wear a slightly longer t-shirt beneath.
this is your first? geeez! way too cool for me -- mine was a standard crew neck pullover from 'knitting with simplicity' mag. in a nasty wrapped synthetic (before synthetics were called 'microfibers').
