The Vest!
Eunny has started a trend. not only has she starrted a trend, but my knit adiction has most definitely been rekindled. did i do homework this weekend? yeah right. i was barely able to pry myself from my needles to go to work... and i need money to buy yarn!! obviously that is why i work. but i *need* to knit this vest! i want to see the argyle.. i want to tell everyone i am making a super vest.. i want to imagine the day that i actually find myself wearing vest, with pride even.. and most importantly-- i want to find out if this vest will fit! i like to try things on as i go, and so i have been splitting up the-story-of-the-vest-so-far on needles and pulling it on to see if it is ok... but the arms? i wont know until its blocked and cut and steeked. very suspenseful. im not so sure about steeks either. i made a practice steek that seems to be doing ok, but its only about two inches tall, and definitely has no worries about strenuous use or anything. maybe i will block it and see how this sticking happens. someone should give a seminar about the similiarities between water molecules and wool steeks.
anyways, ive done a few more rows since this picture, but here is all five inches of my wonderfully wonderful vest so far:

Oooh. I am dying to try this vest! Too bad I have a queue of patterns/yarn to be knit. I did buy the pattern when she put it out, but someday... someday.
Can't wait to hear about your progress! I like your colors.

Wow your vest is coming along very nicely! What yarn are you using? i making mine out of cashsoft....i'm wondering how well it will steek. its kind of scary isnt it, knitting this slightly difficult pattern just hoping that it will fit in the end after you have to cut three holes in it!! i'm on pins and needles!
